Like heroinI really can't remember the last time I was this excited! For a movie or anything! February 16, 2005 | 12:52 AM | Link | 0 commentsQuite awareI just stayed up past midnight despite an early AM appointment, so that I could see the theatrical hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy preview on amazon.com. ![]() I'm a total geek, I don't care. I love the book so much and have been so excited for this movie for so long! That was the icing on what was, by all accounts, an amazingly wondrous day :). Update: I'm too excited to sleep, so I'll drink vodka! February 16, 2005 | 12:19 AM | Link | 0 comments*ahem*Hi. I hate PETA. And that's all I have to say about that. February 15, 2005 | 8:51 AM | Link | 0 commentsSplendidGood things seem to be happening. First of all, I love my new mattress. I can actually sleep without the aid of a fan now! I've always slept with a fan on. Second, I love my apartment so much! I love my KitchenAid utensils and pots and pans and I love my new neighborhood! This guy I've had a crush on for a log time has a crush on me as well, except in the swiftness of the moment (and due to the alcohol... it was a night out) I forgot to get his number before my friends pulled me away to leave. But hoorah! I get free broadband. I'm going to bake bread tonight for the first time in months. I couldn't make it before due to the kitchen remodel back home, and I just haven't made it since. So yay for me. Oh, and today Apple announced a 2 for 1 stock split! I now have twice the number of shares as before. The stock had already risen about 550% since I got it, and this just makes it better :-) So, hooray for good things. February 11, 2005 | 4:23 PM | Link |Nary a weeknightI've decided I can't smoke pot on work nights. I find that if I do, I sleep poorly through the night, and my entire day is ruined before it starts. Saturday was Janelle's birthday. We had a few friends over and Rafa and I picked up an Indian feast from my favorite Indian market. We went to the grocery store so I could buy some vodka and Rafa grabbed a six pack of Corona. When we got back to my place, Rafa asked to use our bottle opener. We realized we didn't have one, and so everyone went into MacGyver mode to get into this thing. I broke Janelle's lighter, and I almost broke my car keys. We tried the gate on my balcony, a screwdriver, and various other non-tool apparatuses. No luck.
Chrissy blurts the question, "How many gay people does it take to open a bottle of beer?" Laughter ensues. With no luck opening the bottle, Rafa begins going door to door asking people if they can open his bottle of beer. Still no luck. So, back to the market we go. This time in search of the proper1 hardware. Luckily, they have my brand, and it's beautiful. Faggot that I am returns home, triumphantly waving my new coordinated bottle opener for all to see. Beer is gross. 1. Hardware that matches the rest of my beautiful KitchenAid utensils, and will hang nicely amongst them. February 7, 2005 | 8:53 AM | Link |Für ConniI recently had a conversation with a gal called Connie; a wonderful chick, friend of Darryl. No, not that D.A.R.Y.L., silly. She gave me a case of nostalgia for writing on this site. To be honest, I'd pretty much forgotten about it—I've just been so busy these days. So, I read some entries into the past, and realized how great it is to be able to recall a night from two years ago so crisp, in black and white. Connie said I would write again, and I genuinely hope I keep it up. Thanks, stranger. :-) February 4, 2005 | 10:58 PM | Link | 0 comments |
