Worship

Hi, you don't know me, but soon you will. You see, I'm going to start writing a blog. In it I will post outrageous thoughts and showcase my writing—oh, that's something you should probably know about me up front: I'm really a writer. Because I'm a writer I have the unique ability to discard the boring aspects of my life, and embellish on the mediocre. Oh, I just know you'll love me in no time at all! :-)

I'll link to things that are much cooler that other people link to, and I'll fill you in on secrets of pop culture that you are not yet aware of. I will talk about the indie authors I read and allow you to listen to the music I love, but you've never heard of. Every once in a while, I will tease your senses by posting only the best photos of myself. You'll get to see how beautiful I am!

If you get bored with other blogs, and I haven't yet written a new post, feel free to browse my archives and learn even more about what a unique and exciting person I am.

You can even leave comments on my site telling me how special I am and how much you adore me! If I mention you in one of my posts, you'll feel so pleased. After all, out of the many, many people who read my blog, I picked you! Yes, you!

I'll feel great knowing that I've been able to let so many people love me for the person I wish I could be. It's much more difficult to succeed in that in real life. Trust me, I've been trying for years. Even if someday I do meet you, it will be just brief enough to allow your image of me to remain in tact. I can't let down my fans, now can I?

Oh, we'll have so much fun chatting online too! We can flirt a bit, and you can humor me as I badmouth other bloggers I'm afraid might seem cooler than me. I mean, there's no way they know all the indie filmmakers and artists I know. How could they possibly be funnier, better looking, or wittier than I am on my blog? Anyway, if you don't worship me, but only visit to pass time... well that's okay too. My counter knows you were here and that's all I need to know how many people truly adore me! :-)

One day I will stop writing, and you'll have to let go. I know it will be sad, but it will just have to be. Like James Dean or Kurt Cobain, I will be eternally cool... well, at least on the internet.
