March 24, 2004 | 11:35 AM | Link | 0 commentsDo you remember the time? It's amazing how much a song can take you back; how I can sit in my office and relive that one moment from long ago. — It was nighttime. My boyfriend Luis and I were sitting in my car, listening to music. Soon he would have to go, but we were stretching out the moment as far as we could. I was typically a fast driver, but when I would drive him home, I would always drive slowly... just to hold onto him for a few more moments. It was always a struggle to say goodbye. And so we held each other, and I reveled in my happiness. The most beautiful, perfect song came on. It described our mood, and it carried our passion. Nothing needed to change; everything was wonderful. — It didn't last forever, but I think Luis will always have a special place; he'll always be one of my great loves. And no, the song was not Remember the Time, from Michael Jackson. Then, I was watching the Barefoot Contessa, and completely fell in love with one of her guests. He will be mine. Oh, yes. He will be mine.
